A MAN stopped in Bradford with 40 bags of class A drugs in his car has been jailed.
Rizwan Basharat (pictured), 24, was seen performing a suspected drugs deal by police on patrol in the city on December 2 last year while parked up in his black Volkswagen Golf.
On searching him, officers found Basharat had 20 bags of heroin, a further 20 bags of crack cocaine, and a single bag of cannabis. He pleaded guilty to the possession of class A drugs with an intent to supply.
Basharat, of Netherfield Close, Yeadon, appeared in the dock at Bradford Crown Court for the brief sentencing hearing yesterday.
Despite receiving credit for entering his early guilty pleas, he was jailed for three years by Judge David Hatton QC.
