FORMER Bradford West MP George Galloway is to write a series of children’s books.

He has signed a publishing deal for the book’s series called ‘Red Molucca the Good Pirate’, which will be released later this year.

He made the announcement about his new career on Twitter.

The books will be illustrated by English artist Joe Cook but the name of its publisher has not been revealed.

Mr Galloway, 62, has already written a number of novels for adults, including Mr Galloway Goes to Washington, I’m Not The Only One and the Fidel Castro Handbook.

Representing the Respect party, he was the Bradford West MP between 2012 and 2015, until he was beaten by Naz Shah in that year’s General Election.
