POLICE have arrested a man after a car stolen from Lancashire was spotted in a car park on Duckworth Lane.

Officers from the Bradford West Neighbourhood Policing Team were on patrol in the area yesterday when they spotted three men stood around a car in the car park of a Co-Op food store.

After they spotted the officers, the men ran off.

Officers checked the car and found that it had been stolen from Lancashire, and had false plates that had been stolen from another vehicle in Lancashire.

Local PCSOs found one of the men nearby, and after reviewing the Co-OP's CCTV the suspect, who police describe as "well known to local officers," was arrested for Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Theft from a Motor Vehicle.

He has been transported to Lancashire where he will be dealt with by police there.
