A GUNMAN is being hunted after damage was caused to a property in Bradford.

Nobody was hurt in the incident at Fagley last night.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said today: "Police were called to an address in Fagley Road, Bradford, at 10.15pm yesterday, after receiving reports of what were thought to be gunshots.

"Officers attended and discovered damage to a door which appeared to be consistent with the discharge of a firearm.

"No one was injured and the suspects appear to have left the scene in a vehicle, which was possibly a Vauxhall Astra."

A 50-yard stretch of Fagley Road was this morning still sealed off at both ends by police, around a large Victorian Yorkshire stone semi-detached house at the centre of the gun drama.

A hole could be seen in a glass panel in the front door, with shotgun pellets in the surrounding frame. A woman could be seen inside the house.

Neighbours said a middle-aged women and her five children, in their 20s and teens, lived there.

Two police Transit vans and a patrol car were at the scene. The area was sealed off by blue and white police cordon and cones and guarded by officers in high visibility jackets at either end.
