A rare waterbird stranded on the wrong side of the Atlantic for nearly
two years has puzzled observers by taking up family duties.
The American pied-billed grebe, only the 12th to be recorded in the
British Isles, is feeding three baby grebes at a reservoir near Redruth
in Cornwall.
