A MAJOR English textiles company has been lured to Ayrshire, creating
60 jobs. Charnos, which employs 2300 people in the UK and had sales of
more than #60m last year, is to open a #1,350,000 plant at Irvine. Group
finance director Carl Francis said the site had been chosen because of
the skilled staff available.
