PEOPLE can have their say on a proposal to form a new local council to cover the Bingley area at a meeting tomorrow evening.
A petition for a new organisation for Bingley and five neighbouring communities will be started at the meeting at Bingley Arts Centre, organised by Bingley Community Council Group (BCCG).
The new group would cover Bingley, Cottingley, Crossflatts, Eldwick, Gilstead and Micklethwaite.
As well as a presentation by BCCG, there will be contributions from MP Philip Davies, the deputy chief officer of The Yorkshire Local Councils Associations Chris Pilkington and Bingley Civic Trust.
The meeting, which is open to all, starts at 7pm.
