OPTICIANS staff will be focussing on raising money for charity this weekend with a 20-mile walk.
Specsavers workers from branches in Darley Street in Bradford, Girlington, Otley and Ilkley will be donning their walking boots for a relay between the four stores in aid of Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).
Twenty colleagues will join the walk which starts in Ilkley and finishes in Girlington on Sunday.
Store director at the Darley Street store, Pete Rooke, said: "We are a friendly cluster of stores, which is why we’ve chosen the route from Ilkley to Otley, through to Bradford Darley Street and finishing in Girlington.
"All of the staff from across the four stores are looking forward to the challenge and we’re hoping to raise a substantial amount of money for Cardiac Risk in the Young."
Chief executive and founder of CRY, Alison Cox, said: "On behalf of all of us at CRY, I would like to say a huge thank you to the teams from these four branches of Specsavers for choosing us as a beneficiary for this event and for helping to raise further awareness of CRY and our work."
