Police hunt charity shop chair thief

POLICE are trying to trace a woman, suspected of stealing two wooden chairs from outside a charity shop in Skipton.

Officers say a woman was seen to park a dark-coloured people carrier outside the SCAD shop, on Newmarket Street, Skipton, at 6.50am on Tuesday, August 12, remove the chairs, each worth £20, place them in her vehicle and drive off towards Shortbank Road.

Anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact PC Mike Smith at Skipton Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, quoting crime reference 12140136133
