POLICE have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after a ticket collector at Bradford Forster Square train station was abused and threatened.
The incident happened at 1pm on Saturday, August 23 when a 36-year-old member of the station staff asked a man for his ticket.
PC Katalin Zelei, investigating for British Transport Police, said: “The victim, a 36-year-old male rail revenue officer from Halifax, challenged a man who had alighted a train and was attempting to leave the station without a ticket.
“The man became verbally abusive towards the officer; he swore at him and threatened him with violence.
“I am convinced the man captured on CCTV has key information about the incident and I call on anyone who recognises him, or has information about the incident to come forward
“The victim was simply doing his job and should not be subjected to such abusive and threatening behaviour. It’s vital we find the person responsible.”
