PLANS to redevelop a former Methodist church could be moving forwards four years after permission was granted to convert it into an enterprise centre.

Bradford Council is now being asked to revise some conditions of the application it approved in 2011 which could see Thorp Methodist Church, at Thorp Garth, given a fresh lease of life.

The plans could see the Inspired Neighbourhoods organisation transform the building, which would be partially demolished and rebuilt, into a centre with community space, a part time library and children’s play area.

Outside a new ‘contemplative’ garden would be created, using memorials.
