KEIGHLEY is to host its first ever Lego Brick Show.

There will be an array of displays, including a giant Lego model of the Titanic, and opportunities to get hands-on with games and activities.

And visitors will be able to contribute to building an amusement park.

The event takes place at Central Hall, Alice Street, on October 25, from 10am to 4pm.

Keith Moran, owner of show sponsor Bricks4Kidz, said: "Lego bricks continue to inspire, educate and entertain children of all ages and this event will allow families to share the magic together."

Bricks4Kidz is working closely with two Keighley-district Scouts, Hannah Wedge and Jordan Pullen, who are using the show as part of their fundraising efforts to attend a World Scout Jamboree in Japan next year.

Hannah, 14, from Oakworth, said: “We’ve been working really hard to raise the £3,400 each that we need to take part and we’re grateful to Keith for his support."

Jordan, also 14, from Cross Roads, said: "I’ve loved playing with Lego bricks since I was small and being part of this show is really exciting."

Admission to the event will be £2 per adult, and accompanied children free.
