A WIBSEY pub is organising a charity event next month to raise funds for an eight-year-old Bradford boy who is battling cancer for a second time.
Licensees Sarah Durkin and Emma Wolfenden are holding the special day at The Windmill on Sunday, September 21, from noon. There will be stalls, a bouncy castle, bucking bronco, raffles, live music and a sponsored wax.
Funds raised will go to Shane Edwards of Miles Hill Crescent, Bierley. The youngster was diagnosed with a brain tumour two years ago and despite multiple operations and gruelling rounds of treatment, the cancer returned earlier this year. His family are fundraising to help pay for the costs associated with experimental treatment in London, which they hope he will be accepted onto shortly.
