A pensioner had his face cut when two men mugged him in broad daylight in Undercliffe.

Police are now looking for the pair, who targeted the 67-year-old man as he was leaving his home on Valley View Grove at 1.15pm on Monday. They approached the man and attempted to grab a bag he was carrying. There was an altercation and the man released the bag. The two men then fled towards Lister Road with a small amount of cash, leaving their victim "shaken."

The man was taken to hospital with a cut to his face, but was otherwise not seriously injured.

Despite Monday being one of the hottest days of the year, one man was wearing a hoodie and a hat.

One of the suspects is described as Asian, about 5ft 11ins tall and of large build. He was wearing a black hooded top with white writing on it and a black hat with a red brand name or motif on the side.

The second suspect whose face was covered, is described as skinny and believed to be over 6ft tall.

Detective Inspector Ben McDonald, of Bradford District CID, said: "The victim was left shaken by this attack and we are keen to trace the men responsible for this.

"If you saw two men acting suspiciously in the Valley View Grove area in the time leading up to this incident or perhaps saw them afterwards in Webb Drive or Lister Road, please contact Bradford District CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
