Repeat victims of anti-social behaviour given bigger say in how complaints are handled

Repeat victims of anti-social behaviour in the Bradford district can now have a bigger say in how their complaints are handled.
People who make three separate complaints about anti-social behaviour in six months will have their case reviewed by representatives from the police, Bradford Council and social landlords.
Known as the Bradford District Anti-Social Behaviour Team, the panel will be able to consider a formal review into how a case could be handled better.
The start of the initiative, known as the Community Trigger, coincides with Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour Together Week.
Superintendent Vince Firth said anti-social behaviour incidents had continued to fall this year in the district, but said he wanted bigger reductions, adding that Community Trigger would help.
Councillor Imran Hussain, chairman of the Community Partnership, said: "We hope the Community Trigger will help to reduce incidents of anti-social behaviour in the district."
Mark Burns Williamson, the Police and Crime Commissioner for West Yorkshire, said the week-long initiative, together with all the great projects in Bradford, would help to tackle the "negative impact" of anti-social behaviour.
