The two mountain bikes, decorated by Shipley College's floristry students, had been fixed to fences on Victoria Road, but were taken at some point over the weekend of the Grande Depart.
Staff arrived at the college on Monday to find the bikes, which had been decorated in plant life, removed from their locations, one outside the Salt Building and another next to Saltaire Train Station.
John Baker, the Head of Horticulture donated two of his bikes to floristry staff to decorate to promote the TDF and the horticulture and floristry courses.
Mr Baker said: "It is disappointing as the floristry staff had put so much effort into decorating the bikes."
Inspector Hugh Robinson of Shipley Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "Millions of people across the county represented the Yorkshire legs of the race impeccably. It is a shame that a minority of individuals have to spoil it for others in this way, so we are appealing for anyone who may have any information about these stolen bikes to get in touch on 101 of Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
