Motorists in Shelf have been urged to lock their vehicles after a spate of break-ins.
Police said they are currently investigating four incidents in the area and that in all cases the owners had left the vehicles unlocked.
PC Andy Bingham said: "In the last two weeks there have been four theft from motor vehicle offences in Shelf.
“Unfortunately on every occasion the offenders stole items from cars which had being left unlocked.
“Officers are working hard to reduce vehicle crime in the area but we need the assistance of the public to stop making it easy for them.
“Please can residents ensure they lock their vehicles up and double check because it could be the difference between four victims of crime and no victims of crime."
