A MAN has been shot in the chest in what police are describing as a targeted attack.
The 20-year-old victim was shot yesterday evening in Heaton Road, Bradford.
He is currently in a stable condition in hospital.
The police were called to the scene at 7.26pm yesterday, and are now appealing for anyone who saw a possible getaway car to get in touch.
Detective Chief Inspector Jim Dunkerley, of Protective Services (Crime), said: "We would like to hear from anyone who was in the Heaton Road area in the time leading up to the attack, as they might have seen something which could prove vital to our investigation.
"We would also like to speak to anyone who saw a blue VW Golf car in the area at the time, as it is possible that the attackers might have travelled to and from the scene in this vehicle.
"Reassurance patrols are being conducted in the area today and officers will be on hand to speak to residents with any concerns."
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
