BINGLEY Music Live is supporting a national campaign to ensure people with disabilities have access to live music.

#MusicWithoutBarriers, run by the charity Attitude is Everything, aims to raise awareness of the obstacles faced by deaf and disabled people at concerts and festivals.

The Bradford Council-run BML has already been awarded a Bronze standard by Attitude is Everything for having facilities including, a trained buddy service to help people get around the event; accessible toilets and a dedicated entrance for people with disabilities

Councillor Andrew Thornton (pictured), the Council's Executive Member for Sport and Leisure, said: "With Bingley Music Live we are determined to build on our Attitude is Everything Bronze standard by making the event ever more inclusive. We fully back the #MusicWithoutBarriers campaign."

Headliners are the Myrtle Park festival, which runs from August 29 to 31 are Pet Shop Boys, Example and Shed Seven.
