FIT for the job?
Outgoing president of the Rotary Club of Bradford West, Dr Anne Raine, conducts a quick health check on her replacement Robert Morphet.
He is a funeral director at Joseph A Hey and Sons in Bradford and he took a hearse along to the official handover of duties, while Anne arrived with her stethoscope.
To add to the slightly surreal nature of the event, incoming president elect Carol Stanton could not be present to see the presidential chain being handed over, but was represented by a cardboard cutout instead.
The event happened at Sandal Farm Restaurant, in Brighouse & Denholme Road, where the club holds its weekly lunchtime meetings.
Anne's year of presidency was also celebrated with an evening of South Asian music and food at Kala Sangam.
The club's recent achievements include raising £505 for the Ear Trust, £650 for the T&A backed Bradford Crocus Cancer Appea, £550 for the Rotary Foundation and £650 for the End Polio Now campaign.
