POLICE are still looking for a man who threatened to stab a student at a Bradford train station.

British Transport Police officers have yet to identify the man responsible for a failed robbery, at 11.30pm on May 19, and one at Leeds station the following day.

Detective Constable Jacqui Wilson said: “The victim, a 19-year-old male student studying in the city, was with a friend at the station when they were approached by a man in a grey hooded top. He was speaking on the phone at the time but then began to engage them in conversation.

“He then demanded he handed over his wallet whilst threatening to stab the victim if he didn’t obey. Despite no knife being seen, understandably the victim felt extremely threatened. At that point a train arrived into the station, a number of people got off and the man disappeared into the crowd empty handed."

The same man is believed to have been responsible for the robbery of a 36-year-old Sheffield man at Leeds Station the following day.
