A CHICKEN slaughterhouse near Bingley has applied to change its waste-water procedures.
Chesterfield Poultry, which has a slaughterhouse in Station Road, Harecroft, near Wilsden, applied to the Environment Agency to vary an environmental permit.
A spokesman for the Environment Agency said: "An application has been made to change the way waste-water from the site is measured and reported. The proposed change is to tighten limits for waste-water quality and raise the maximum daily flow.
"The overall impact on the environment will be neutral and production throughout will not change. The operator is also installing new waste-water flow meters to provide more accurate data."
