AN inquest into how a Bradford man plunged to his death down a stairwell void at York racecourse will resume next month - more than a year after the tragedy.
University graduate Jack Yates, 21, is believed to have fallen through a gap between an internal stairwell at the famous Knavesmire stand at the end of a race meeting he had been watching with a group of friends in May 2013.
Mr Yates, of Queensbury, had worked at Keelham Farm shop in Thornton since he was 16, starting with a Saturday job.
The human resources graduate, who had lived with his parents and older brother in Hillcrest Drive, was a former Queensbury School pupil and had taken up running as a way of building up his fitness raising £250 for Manorlands Hospice in Oxenhope just before he died.
His inquest will be in York on Thursday, July 3.
