Campaigners for peace have been protesting outside the Pakistan Consulate in North Parade, Bradford.
The demonstration was organised by the city's branch of Minhaj-ul-Quran which is an Islamic organisation working against violence and supporting integration.
Its general secretary Mohammed Qadeer said today's gathering was one of a number of UK protests being held nationwide in response to alleged violence and human rights breaches by Pakistan police against unarmed civilians earlier this month in the city of Lahore.
Mr Qadeer said: "Across Pakistan many political parties have walked out the national assemblies and protests are due to be held."
