DETECTIVES investigating the death of a Bradford student have arrested a second man on suspicion of murder.

Anowar Tagabo, a Bradford University peace and development studies student, died as a result of a head injury after a confrontation with a group of men in Sheffield.

He was assaulted in the city centre after attending a wedding celebration in Sheffield and sustained head injuries. He died in hospital on June 3, following the incident at around 4.20 am on May 25.

South Yorkshire Police arrested one suspect, aged 24, on Saturday and released him on police bail the following day, to allow officers more time to carry out investigations.

Now investigators have confirmed that a second man has been arrested this afternoon (Mon) and was currently being questioned over the incident.

Anowar was from Sudan and had just completed the first year of his course in Bradford, where he lived.

Relatives who also live in West Yorkshire have spoken recently of the family's anguish over the circumstances of his death.
