Protesters fighting plans for a housing development intend to use car-shaped bunting to illustrate the potential scale of new vehicle movements they say the development would bring.
Bradford Council has to make a decision on whether to allow Persimmon Homes to build 270 homes on a green field site at Cote Farm alongside Leeds Road in Thackley.
It has attracted strong opposition with 1,000 people objecting, said Coun Jeanette Sunderland (Lib Dem, Idle & Thackley) and now campaigners want to illustrate what they claim would be unacceptable increases in traffic volumes.
They believe the development would bring another 300 vehicles into the area and so on Saturday will stretch out car shaped bunting along Leeds Road to illustrate how long the queue would be if that number of vehicles were lined up.
