Detectives want to speak to this man (pictured) after two “extremely frightening” attempted robberies at train stations in Bradford and Leeds.

In the Bradford Interchange incident, a student was told he would be stabbed if he did not hand over cash.

Detective Constable Jacqui Wilson, from British Transport Police said: “The first incident took place at Bradford station just after 11.30pm on Monday, May 19.

“The victim, a 19-year-old male student studying in the city, was with a friend at the station when they were approached by a man in a grey hooded top. He was speaking on the phone at the time but then began to engage them in conversation.

“He then demanded he handed over his wallet while threatening to stab the victim if he didn’t obey. Despite no knife being seen, understandably the victim felt extremely threatened.”

A train then arrived and the man fled. The following day a similar incident happened at Leeds train station.
