Bradford grandmother Razia Amini is packing a 20ft crate for Gambia with bargains and donations galore.

Bicycles, computers and school equipment are among the goods Mrs Amini, of Heaton, is sending to the remote Gambiaff region.

Earlier this year she put out an appeal for unwanted bicycles so teachers and children can cycle their way to school instead of having to walk miles – and she has not been disappointed by the response.

“I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped us,” she said.

“It will make a huge difference.”

Mrs Amini has been supporting national aid charity Humanity First for 13 years and will be setting off to Gambia again soon to meet up with the crate when it arrives and see first-hand where the aid goes and who it helps.
