5:52pm Friday 16th May 2014 in News
Care staff and the residents they visit in Bradford have been alerted after a car used by the service was stolen while staff were out at work.
The silver Vauxhall Meriva car was being used in Great Horton Road at around 7.30am on Tuesday when it was stolen by a man who jumped in and drove off after it had been parked by a council worker.
It is used by care staff for making visits to the elderly.
Both care workers and those who expect visits have been notified about the theft.
The car was last seen heading towards the Buttershaw area and police say the suspect is male, white, aged early 30s and of slim to medium build, with a light coloured beard. He was wearing a light blue hooded top. Sergeant Sheraz Khan, of the Bradford South Area Neighbourhood Team, said: "We would like to hear from anyone who might have seen this vehicle shortly after it was stolen.”
