Homeware retailer Dunelm will open its latest store in Keighley this month in a move which has created 70 jobs.

The new 30,000sq ft store will open at Alston Retail Park on May 22. It is spread over two floors – a ground floor of 18,500sq ft and a 11,500sq ft mezzanine.

The store will be opened by Keighley town mayor, Councillor Graham Mitchell, accompanied by Dunelm’s charity mascot Barney the Bear, representing its nominated charity Barnardos.

The shop will be open seven days a week and will include a coffee shop.

Nick Wharton, Dunelm chief executive, said: “We are confident that Keighley will continue to play a big part in the continued success of the company, and look forward to introducing shoppers to our diverse homewares offering.”
