Stylist Claire Wilkinson used her scissor skills to raise cash for a worthy cause.

Claire, who runs Red Headz in Westgate, Shipley, and her team offered free cut and blow drys for a minimum £5 donation this week and have so far raised around £450 for the Bradford-based charity Staying Put which helps women and their families affected by domestic violence.

She is also hosting a family garden party at the Victoria Mill Bar and Lounge in Victoria Mills, Saltaire, tomorrow to boost funds for the charity.

Yasmin Khan, director of Staying Put, said of Claire and her team’s fundraising quest: “It will contribute to protecting and safe guarding vulnerable women and girls across the district.”
