Hundreds of people sampled some of the many tipples on offer at the third annual Haworth Beer Festival.

The occasion, which was staged over three days in the Old School Room, in Haworth, was again organised by Stanbury resident Kath Thornton.

“It was the most successful festival so far,” she said. “The feedback I’ve had has been amazing. We had 37 beers from all over the country, and the Saturday was very busy, with a really good mix of people of all ages.

“I hadn’t been planning to do anything on Sunday as well, but we still had some beers left, so we sold those for a pound a pint on the Sunday, with the proceeds to go to Manorlands.”

She added that the first beer to run out was ‘Goldilocks’ from Keighley’s Old Bear brewery, while the most popular beer – chosen through a public vote during the festival – was ‘Green Devil’, produced by Oakham Brewery.

The event included a quiz, food, and a corporate networking function.
