With the arrival of spring, Skipton in Bloom has launched this year’s town gardening competition.

The competition is open to all residents, schools, businesses and allotment holders within the parish of Skipton and entry is free.

Sue Warburton, vice chairman of Skipton in Bloom, said: “The arrival of the Tour de France in July has really sparked everyone’s imagination and our competition entries – added to the floral displays around the town – will ensure that Skipton is looking at its absolute best for the big event.”

For full competition rules, visit, e-mail, or telephone 01756 794357.
