Budding young artists in Bradford are being urged to enter a special painting challenge.
Law firm Walker Morris is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its award-winning children’s calendar painting competition.
Open to all four to 11-year-olds in the region, young artists are being asked to paint their favourite month of the year. The 13 winners – one for each month plus the cover – will get a hamper full of artist’s materials for themselves and a cheque for £250 for their school. Runners-up will also get prizes. The winning entries will then be used to produce a calendar to be sold in aid of Yorkshire’s Martin House Hospice, which cares for young people with life-limiting illnesses.
Since starting the annual contest, Walker Morris have raised more than £60,000 for the cause.
Renowned Yorkshire artist Ashley Jackson will once again be chief judge.
