An inquest into the death of a Bradford student who went missing in February was being opened today.
Aamir Qudeer, 21, a first year engineering student at Bradford University, had been missing for more than six weeks when his body was found in the River Mersey in Liverpool on Sunday.
Mr Qudeer had last been sighted on CCTV footage in Liverpool on February 26 after leaving his Great Horton Road flat earlier that day.
His family have been campaigning for information about his disappearance for several weeks, and had set up stalls in his home city of Leeds, Liverpool and Bradford.
Today’s hearing in Bradford was expected to be adjourned pending further inquiries.
