Warning of disruption to drivers and residents for Ilkley Carnival

The organisers of Ilkley Carnival are giving residents and motorists notice of disruption to traffic on May 5.

Ilkley Carnival committee wants to let residents know roads in and around the town will be closed, and no waiting cones set out, as the parade takes place.

The theme is the Tour of Yorkshire.

The parade proceeds from Grove Road, along The Grove, down Brook Street and New Brook Street, Middleton Avenue to East Holmes Field.

Organisers say the route will be marked out with’ no-waiting’ cones and Bradford Council will issue a road closure notice for between 11.30am and 1pm.

There will be no parking on the route and residents aare requested to find alternative parking.
