The worlds of boxing and dance will come together for a ground-breaking new project at a Bradford school later this month.
Under the guidance of Hype Dance Company and the mentoring of Bradford’s former world champion boxer Junior Witter, pupils at Carlton Bolling School will bring the worlds of art and sport together to create a new piece of world that combines boxing moves with Street Dance.
It follows a successful pilot scheme in Sheffield.
Mr Witter, who is patron of Bradford’s African Caribbean Achievement Project, said: “I’m really excited to be working with Hype on this project. It’s a fantastic way of engaging young people and introducing them to two exciting and challenging disciplines and I can’t wait to get started.”
The project runs at the school from April 28 until May 11.
