A fund to send poorly Eldwick twin Grace Hitchen on the trip of a lifetime has been boosted by a generous gift from the Shipley and Saltaire Slimming World groups.
Members donated low fat cakes and treats, toiletries and teddy bears for a tombola in aid of nine-year-old Grace, who has the rare degenerative condition Niemann Pick Type C.
And they have raised a healthy £181.17 for Grace’s Wish, the charity appeal aimed at sending the little girl to DisneyLand and to swim with Florida dolphins.
“It may be a drop in the ocean towards what Grace needs to get to America, but hopefully it will help,” said organiser Adele Chapman of Slimming World.
