A Bradford health project has received a £10,000 grant from the Big Lottery Fund’s Awards for All programme to buy a mobile clinic for homeless people and street workers.

Bevan Healthcare CIC project, based in Sunbridge Road, will use it to offer care, mental health support, drug, alcohol and other health advice to vulnerable and hard to reach members of the community.

Dharmendra Kanani, Big Lottery Fund spokesman said: “Awards for All is about making vital funding available for a huge range of good causes as easily as possible. The range of grants we have announced today and the diversity of people they will help, are a great example of the difference National Lottery funding can make.”

Through the Big Lottery Fund’s Awards For All programme, 1,118 community projects are set to benefit from more than £9.7million in good cause funding across the country today. The Awards For All scheme offers grants between £300 and £10,000 to social and environmental projects benefitting communities and people most in need.
