People are being urged join a national campaign which could help people across the country save money on their energy costs.
Shipley MP Philip Davies (above) said he had already put his name down for The Big Deal campaign which aims to beat the ‘Big Six’ energy companies. He is urging constituents to sign up because the project brings people together to harness their collective buying power and reduce bills. The Big Deal started last week and has already received support from senior figures in every major party. Similar schemes across the world have led to savings of 16.5 per cent – in Britain that would work out at around £200 per person. Mr Davies said: “Energy bills are one of the biggest worries for my constituents.”
