Children from ten Bradford primary schools put pedal power to the test by biking 2,732 journeys to school.
More than 4,000 youngsters travelled by scooter during The Big Pedal competition which ran from March 3 to 14.
Burley Oaks Primary School was the overall winner in Bradford with an impressive total of between 25 per cent and 43 per cent of students cycling or scooting on a daily basis.
Assistant headteacher Richard Sells said: “We are really pleased to have done so well in The Big Pedal competition. It’s hard to believe that two years ago we didn’t have any bike storage or any children cycling or scooting to school.
“After starting to work with the Sustrans Bike It Project we have made some great progress.
" On one day last week we had 184 children and parents come to school on bikes and scooters which was amazing.”
