Youngsters waiting for day surgery at Bradford Royal Infirmary enjoyed a surprise visit.
Firefighters from Fairweather Green called in to ward two at the hospital to say hello and have a chat about the work they do and what life is like helping keep people safe.
Watch manager Mark Hemingway said the visit was something firefighters really enjoyed.
He said: “The chance to come face to face with a firefighter was quite exciting for the youngsters, on what could otherwise be a nervous day for them as they face surgery!"
