A pre-school run by Bradford Trident is celebrating after Government inspectors found it was a “nurturing environment” in a recent inspection.
Park Lane pre-school, based in the Park Lane Centre, was inspected by Ofsted in January, and despite a tougher criteria managed to up its rating from satisfactory to good.
The report said: “Teaching is consistently good and sometimes outstanding” and that the pre-school was a “nurturing, caring and supportive environment.” And it was also praised for helping children progress well, even if they come from families that speak little English.
The few criticisms were that the school newsletter was only in English, and that the book corner needed to be more enticing. Bradford Trident is a social enterprise run by and for the BD5 area.
Pre-school leader Fakhran Raja said: “Staff have worked very, very hard, and that means the children benefit because it prepares them for school.”
