Northern Ballet Theatre's TV adaptation of Ugly Duckling is up for a Royal Television Society award.
Ugly Duckling, Northern Ballet’s first ballet created for children, which has won a BAFTA and was commissioned by the BBC for CBeebies, broadcast last year, is nominated in the Children’s Fiction category.
Northern Ballet’s chief executive Mark Skipper said: “Our partnership with the BBC in the creation of Ugly Duckling was a fantastic way to introduce ballet to new audiences. Its impact, reach and success has delighted us all.”
