Pony rides, bread-making and watching chicks hatch are some of the activities lined up for children by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society.
The society, best known for organising the Great Yorkshire Show, will present Springtime Live on Sunday April 13 at its Harrogate showground.
One of the star attractions will be children’s television favourite Peppa Pig.
There will also be lots of hands-on activities, entertainment and plenty of animals, including lambs, goslings, chicks, piglets and calves, as well as several rare breeds.
Society chief executive Nigel Pulling, said: “Each year around 14,000 children come to learn more about where food comes from and the role our farmers play.
“This is a message that it’s never too young to appreciate and one we want to keep alive.”
Springtime Live is from 10am to 5pm. Tickets cost from £5 with under-threes getting in free.
