A truck set on fire at a builders’ merchants in Brighouse today. Firefighters from Brighouse and Cleckheaton stations were called at about 3.30pm after a hydraulic pump burst while stone aggregate was being unloaded at Naylor Myers, off Wakefield Road. A spokesman for Brighouse fire station said the trailer unloading the stone was destroyed by the fire. No-one was injured.
