Bradford District Care Trust is marking European Day of Speech and Language Therapy tomorrow by highlighting the services available for bilingual children and their families.

Families who speak Latvian, Czech, Slovak and Polish are among communities across the district who have been getting help from the trust’s speech and language therapists.

The therapists have developed resources and materials relevant to all communities they work with – some sessions are supported by interpreters.

Speech and language therapy sessions are held in children’s centres for children aged under four and in community health centres for those older.

Families can self refer by calling (01274) 770397 or by speaking to a health care professional.
