Children from a Bradford school are putting their shirts on its diamond jubilee year being in a class of its own.

St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School, in Clayton, is to clothe all 256 pupils in a commemorative polo shirt with the help of a local company.

The Leo Group, which operates the Omega Proteins factory at Denholme, donated £1,500 from its Community Fund.

The school’s Sharon Langford, said: “The money gives us the opportunity to present every child and some staff with a special polo shirt in gold – set to become our new colour – and with the new St Anthony’s school badge embroidered on.”
