Bradford man involved in bus crash case

A Bradford man involved in a series of insurance scams which culminated in the crashing of a bus with up to 40 passengers on board in Sheffield has been given a suspended sentence.

Safaida Bi, 30, of Ings Way, Bradford, was given a three-month sentence suspended for 12 months and ordered to do 250 hours of unpaid work after admitting involvement in the fake crashes.

The plot mastermind Mohammed Omar Gulzar, 31, who recruited the bus driver, was jailed for 20 months by a judge at Sheffield Crown Court.
