Bradford GP survey branded ‘waste of time’

A survey gauging people’s views on local health services was branded “a bit of a waste of time” by one member of Bradford’s health board.
Councillor Simon Cooke spoke out after a presentation on the research, conducted by the district’s three Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs).
The meeting heard that about 1,000 people had given their opinions on what was good and bad about local health services, and that the findings would help shape the CCGs’ five-year plans.
But Coun Cooke said he was concerned the work wasn’t reliable enough to base a five-year plan on.
Councillor Amir Hussain said there were still useful findings in the report, such as that 78 per cent of people had come up against barriers when trying to access health services and many said there were difficulties in getting a GP appointment.
